HTC develops workaround for Apple patent violation

HTC Corp. has come up with a workaround on its smartphones, following a ruling from the U.S. International Trade Commission that it violated an Apple Inc.?

The workaround smartphone feature allows "users to extract information such as phone numbers and addresses from emails to make phone calls or look up a location on a map," the WSJ reported.

HTC had until April to remove the feature or devise a workaround.
