Daytona 500 Faces Suspension

There was a suspension issued against Dayton 500 even though there were 40 laps still remaining, on this very Monday subsequent to a strange accident. The car of Juan Pablo Montoya from Columbia struck a truck that was of a jet dryer eventually causing the car to explode into furious flames. The entire incident that happened can be narrated as follows.

The race that was in progress was under vigilance and at that very time Montoya, without any of the rival cars besides him, suddenly happened to lose control over his own vehicle and got struck with the back side of the heavy truck, the very truck that is made use of to dry out the racing track as well as blow away the dust and debris. The ignition of the fuel present in the truck gave rise to a huge ball of fire that was let off from the motor vehicle.

The better part was that it was very much away from the place where the spectators were present.

Fortunately Montoya was safe and sound and was discovered to be unhurt and proper as he came out of the vehicle. At the same time the truck driver was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed and as per the reports he was claimed to be healthy and unhurt. There was an immediate halt brought to the proceedings of the race and the officials were busy removing the truck as well as the fuel away from the racing track. It was yet to be discovered the actual magnitude of damage that was caused to the surface of racing. At the time when the race was made to stop there was Dave Blaney who has been ahead after the 130 laps were over and another 101 laps yet to be covered for the winner to be announced finally.
