ARLINGTON - Thousands of North Texans celebrating the holidays will soon slide down one of the most popular attractions in the area: Frosty Snow Hill at Six Flags Over Texas.

Six Flags has special activities as part of their ongoing "Holiday at the Park" event.

On Friday morning, News 8 paid a visit before the park opened to learn more about all the preparation that goes in to keeping up a snow hill in the middle of North Texas. Employees have been working late hours and extra days since the beginning of November to replenish the snow, which melts away week after week.

"It looks quite simple, but they actually take ice from our ice house and use a mechanism that transforms that ice into that's more or less snow that's blown across the hill for guests to enjoy,? said Sharon Parker with Six Flags Over Texas.

Six Flags will be open all through the week of December 17th in expectation of the crowds on break. The ?Holiday in the Park? events run through January 6th, 2013.
