Love & Relationships: Getting Your Groove Back | SIMEON DACUMOS

Stuck in a rut, wondering how to get back into the stream of the dating pool?

It can be quite intimidating, going out into the world looking for someone, feeling vulnerable to public perception. If you are newly coming out a relationship, this can be a daunting task, because you now have to get re-acclimated to the processes of engagement.

For some, getting back in the market for a companion can be a breeze, but for others it takes times and practice to finesse your way back into the social scene.? Depending on how long and the extent of the past relationship, immersion into the single life may be a momentous hurdle.

So how do you get your strut back, the pep in your step, your infectious charm, or seductive sensibility?

For starters let the process happen naturally and don?t get bogged down if those around you are more dialed in; they have been in the dating pool a lot longer and still haven?t figured it out.

Take your time; don?t be quick to rush into something just because someone showed you an ounce of interest.? You have developed attributes that your past lover did not appreciate, so don?t be quick to give them away until you are comfortable with someone whom can appreciate you and all that you have to give.

Go out into the world and rekindle the passions you once had that may have faded overtime and open your arms to welcome new experiences.? By seeking out communities and social groups that share similar interests, it will become much smoother a transition into getting your groove back.

What Would Simeon Do?

In order to find your groove you have to start from within.

While it may be easiest to mask your insecurities with a makeover, it doesn?t solve any rooted fears that stem from within.? Try going to the gym and meditating to recalibrate your body and mind, and to find tranquility and solitude within yourself.

It is ok to feel out of place and at odds with going out into settings that are a far cry from your comfort zone.

Feel out different environments to see which you most positively respond to, which may have changed from the last time you dated.? Remember, you are a catch; you just haven?t found your unicorn yet.
